MDA to Monitor Illegal Constructions Using AI & Machine Learning
Moradabad Development Authority (MDA) Initiative
The Moradabad Development Authority (MDA) is adopting advanced technology to curb illegal constructions. The Remote Sensing Application Centre (RSAC), Lucknow, introduced an AI & Machine Learning (AIML)-based monitoring system to MDA officials.
How the Technology Works
- ISRO satellite data will be used to create a base map, updated every three months.
- New and old maps will be compared to detect illegal constructions.
- A special app will enable real-time monitoring from MDA’s control room.
- Field staff will submit reports online, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Pilot Project Launched
Under the leadership of MDA Vice Chairman, the project will initially cover 100 sq.km, including:
- Shiwalik Township
- Sahyadi Yojana (Sonakpur)
- Govindpuram Yojana (Mangupura, Manoharpur)
- Lakdi Fazalpur, Mainather, Chakfaizullapur
- Agwanpur to Sambhal Road
